Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007) was a visionary Italian architect and designer, best known as the founder of the Memphis Group, a radical design collective that redefined aesthetics in the 1980s with its playful use of color, geometry, and unconventional forms. Stepped series riser, made by two elements in white clay. The base is made by using the casting technique and the top in the modine technique. Matt green enamel on the inside, burgundy red and oxidized copper on the outside.
